How to lower your high blood pressure?

I just discovered that I have a high blood pressure (130/100) and I am only 24 years old. I lived a sedentary lifestyle before but now I am going to start to work on Monday. It is scaring the sh*t out of me thinking that I might be close to having a serious heart condition and die all of a sudden.

I want to live my life for 50 years more. What can I do.

Anybody put on medication for high blood pressure?

Did it work for you? Did it help bring down your blood pressure? Did you end up being induced or were you allowed to go into labor naturally?
5 CommentsI’m just curious about personal experiences because I’ve fought with high blood pressure the entire pregnancy. Yesterday, it was 160/90 so the doctor put me on medication and modified bed rest. I have to go back Monday to have my blood pressure checked. At that point, depending on what happens, we *may* have to discuss early induction.
I’m hoping the medication works….
