What is a good used car I should buy if I am gonna drive cross country?

I go to school in Norther Indiana, and Im going to Film school in Los Angeles next Spring. Im thinking of driving down.

But before that I wanna buy a car. My budget to spent on a car is $4000.

What kinda car should I get? What factors should I consider when it come to buying a car which I could use for a while without problems?

Thanks.

Cross-country move Memphis to Seattle and would like advice?

Next May (2008) we’re moving from Memphis, TN to near Seattle. We (family of five) need to be within 45 minutes of the Seatac Airport because that’s where I’ll be working. Does anyone know of a decent place to live near the area and perhaps have some advice for the cross country move?
We will be living on one income (@50K) so we won’t be able to afford too much house, as a matter of fact we plan to rent at first. We definately don’t NEED to live in Seattle. What do you know about Auburn, Federal Way, Kent, etc?
Thanks, tryingtolearn!

If you want to go to Medical school, what should you do while in High school?

I know you need to get top grades and whatnot, and then major in pre-med in college, but right now im in 10th grade, I have about a 95 average(maybe a 93) in all the highest level courses possible for my age, and I want to know am I doing what I need to do? Im in cross country and both track seasons at my school. Im wondering though, is there any out of school service i should look into? someone had told me go to the firehouse and become an EMT. is that a good idea? any help someone can give me on this is appreciated.
Just wanted to add, I realize I am too young to be an actual EMT. Ill be 16 in december. however, at my firehouse they offer a junior firefighter/EMT program aswell as a junior volunteer ambulance corps.

How much est. gas would I spend driving a 14″ Uhaul truck cross-country?

From California to Upstate NYtotal 2,916 miles at $5 a gallon for diesel gas. I will also be pulling a trailer of my car (off the ground). I would like an idea of how much gas I’d be expected to spend, so I can plan a budget for the move. Thanks!

In Cross-Country practice, after running 3/4mi to cool down, my knee started hurting. What happened?

It hurt for like an hour after too. But not when I was running, only if I was walking, sitting or standing. Our last meet is on Tuesday so I don’t think this will be a huge problem, but I’d like to know what’s wrong.

Anyone ever driven cross country? How long does it take?

I may need to drive from San Diego to Florida (Tampa area). Has anybody ever made this drive or similar? I’m just curious as to the time frame, should I make hotel reservations, etc. I’ll be going via I 10. If you have any tips, personal experiences you can share. I will appreciate it. Thanks, JA

How do you say “track practice” and “cross country practice” in spanish?

It’s for a spanish project, and all the online translators are giving me different translations that are too literal.
